GOLD COAST NUTRITION CONSULTANT SERVICES
I am a qualified nutritionist and have been in the food industry for more than 25 years. For 18 years I owned my own café and catering business, over time I noticed how many people requested dietary advice. I realized it was a growing concern as more and more people needed help for conditions such as gluten and wheat intolerance, lactose intolerance, and diet restrictions. I knew there had to be more to why people suffer from bloating, inflammation, skin conditions and weight problems. Combining my 2 qualifications I can give you the best nutritional advice and teach you how to implement it.
The initial consultation consists of an in depth look at your health and what your concerns are. I will take you through a full body systems review, which will give me a history of your health. I will also do a full review of your current diet and lifestyle. I suggest clients fill out a week’s diet table before the consultation, so this can be accurate and can save us some time. Follow this link for diet diary. During the consultation I will conduct a non-invasive physical check-up.
You will take home a recommended easy to follow meal plan that is customised to you and your lifestyle, plus the knowledge of what is creating your symptoms and other recommendations on how we together can help you into the better you that you want to be.
GROUP COOKING COURSES
Every month I will conduct a cooking class that is aimed at a specific condition eg. diabetes, fatigue, inflammation, gut health. I will demonstrate the art of fermentation, kombucha, kefir, sauerkraut and recipes on how you can use these natural probiotics in every day cooking. I will also demonstrate how to make every day medicinal foods such as bone broths.
1 ON 1 COOKING CLASSES
This is recommended after the initial consultation. I will give you your meal plan and we can work out what you would like to do. There will be tips on making easy meals that can be made in advance or in bulk, so you can freeze and use when you are busy. Also, we will share tips on how to shop, what to buy and how to read labels so you make the right choices. Importantly I will show how to cook for the whole family one meal that suits all.
Beautiful Burleigh. Let me show you around the gem of the Gold Coast. I will take you on a short walk of the headland to Tallebudgera Creek, we might see dolphins and at the right time of year whales.
We will follow with a walk through the main strip to a local’s bakery where we will pick up our sourdough bread and have coffee or a turmeric latte.
Then on to our local farmers market where I will show you what to buy and look for. We will gather up our produce for the cooking class ahead.
Then it is back to the kitchen preparing healthy dishes, depending on seasonal produce and availability.
While we sit and eat our meal I will serve a sparkling kombucha or kefir as good as any champagne!!
